Friedrich Nietzsche It may be laid down as a primary position, and the basis of our system, that every Citizen who enjoys the protection of a Free Government, owes not only a proportion of his property, but even of his personal services to the defense of it. George Washington Don't let your ego get too close to your position, so that if your position gets shot down, your ego doesn't go with it. Colin Powell Avoid having your ego so close to your position that when your position falls, your ego goes with it. Colin Powell Never let your ego get so close to your position that when your position goes, your ego goes with it. Colin Powell While the form of treachery varies slightly from case to case, liberals always manage to take the position that most undermines American security. Ann Coulter If you've earned a position, be proud of it. Don't hide it. I want to be recognized. When I hear people say, 'There's Joan Crawford!' I turn around and say, 'Hi! How are you!' Joan Crawford Because power corrupts, society's demands for moral authority and character increase as the importance of the position increases. John Adams If you put yourself in a position where you have to stretch outside your comfort zone, then you are forced to expand your consciousness. Les Brown |
