Crest Quotations
You know, I designed the Queen crest. I simply combined all the creatures that represent our star signs-and I don't even believe in astrology. Freddie Mercury When you were riding on the crest of a wave, youwere most likely to be missing out on something. Knute Rockne I called to the other men that the sky was clearing, and then a moment later I realized that what I had seen was not a rift in the clouds but the white crest of an enormous wave. Ernest Shackleton No, what I should really like to do right now, in the full blaze of lights, before this illustrious assembly, is to shower every one of you with gifts, with flowers, with offerings of poetry - to be young once more, to ride on the crest of the wave. Knut Hamsun Famous people feel that they must perpetually be on the crest of the wave, not realising that it is against all the rules of life. You can't be on top all the time, it isn't natural. Olivia De Havilland One moment you appear to be riding the crest of a wave, only to have the rug pulled away from you, bringing you back down to earth with a sickening thud. John Barrow Human beings and their actions constitute the advancing front, the surging crest of an ongoing movement that never stops. Corliss Lamont The crest and crowning of all good, life's final star, is Brotherhood. Edwin Markham |
