Ball Quotations
If people don't want to come out to the ball park, nobody's gonna stop 'em. Yogi Berra A lifetime contract for a coach means if you're ahead in the third quarter and moving the ball, they can't fire you. Lou Holtz The man who complains about the way the ball bounces is likely the one who dropped it. Lou Holtz There is only one way to achieve happiness on this terrestrial ball, and that is to have either a clear conscience or none at all. Ogden Nash It will always be the ball and me. Tiger Woods I love to play golf, and that's my arena. And you can characterize it and describe it however you want, but I have a love and a passion for getting that ball in the hole and beating those guys. Tiger Woods Thus so wretched is man that he would weary even without any cause for weariness... and so frivolous is he that, though full of a thousand reasons for weariness, the least thing, such as playing billiards or hitting a ball, is sufficient enough to amuse him. Blaise Pascal Happiness is a ball after which we run wherever it rolls, and we push it with our feet when it stops. Johann Wolfgang von Goethe They thought that athletes that worked out with my system wouldn't be able to throw a ball because they'd be too muscle bound. Those are the misconceptions I had to go through for about 40 years. Jack LaLanne Small miseries, like small debts, hit us in so many places, and meet us at so many turns and corners, that what they want in weight, they make up in number, and render it less hazardous to stand the fire of one cannon ball, than a volley composed of such a shower of bullets. Rudyard Kipling |
