The man just handed me the baton and I finished the song. It was great. I got to keep the baton. Dom DeLuise I've had some wonderful times at the White House. I've been with Ford, Carter, Reagan, Clinton and Bush. Dom DeLuise Andrew Johnson was a Southerner generally who proclaimed that his native state of Tennessee was a country for white men. Stephen Ambrose The white spruce forest along the banks is most inspiring, magnificent here. Down the terraced slopes and right to the water's edge on the alluvial soil it stands in ranks. Ernest Thompson Seton I have only one prejudice in horseflesh - I do not like a white one. Ernest Thompson Seton Growing up, I thought I was white. It didn't occur to me I was Asian-American until I was studying abroad in Denmark and there was a little bit of prejudice. Maya Lin I loved old black and white movies, especially the Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers musicals. I loved everything about them - the songs, the music, the romance and the spectacle. They were real class and I knew that I wanted to be in that world. Sharon Stone American families be warned, if the White House doesn't send your jobs overseas, they'll send your kids. Joe Baca I'm only drinking white wine because I'm on a diet and I don't eat. Oliver Reed South Africa was to evolve into the most pernicious example of the criminal practise of colonial and white minority domination. Thabo Mbeki South Africa belongs to all who live in it, black and white. Thabo Mbeki Politicians talk themselves red, white, and blue in the face. Clare Boothe Luce The politicians were talking themselves red, white and blue in the face. Clare Boothe Luce I always enjoyed playing ball, and it didn't matter to me whether I played with white kids or black. I never understood why an issue was made of who I played with, and I never felt comfortable, when I grew up, telling other people how to act. Willie Mays Slavery exists. It is black in the South, and white in the North. Andrew Johnson |
