So I think what you see in this show is it's really not a just world at all, but you get what you give. So in terms of world view, I would say that's where the differences lie.

Andre Braugher My response, a dubious and hesitant one, is that it has been and may continue to be, in the time that is left to me, more productive to live out the question than to try to answer it in abstract terms. J. M. Coetzee As a person, I'm pretty much the same except that I've come to terms with who my real friends and supporters are. I don't get particularly friendly with new people at first go. Sanjay Dutt Our incapacity to comprehend other cultures stems from our insistence on measuring things in our own terms. Arthur Erickson Right action tends to be defined in terms of general individual rights and standards that have been critically examined and agreed upon by the whole society. Lawrence Kohlberg I can work in films as long as the story doesn't have a realistic nature. If I'm working with an allegory, a fantasy, it can be developed in synthetic terms. Manuel Puig Coming to terms with the fear of death is conducive to healing, positive personality transformation, and consciousness evolution. Stanislav Grof Myth expresses in terms of the world - that is, of the other world or the second world - the understanding that man has of himself in relation to the foundation and the limit of his existence. Paul Ricoeur A key issue in developmental biology at that time was the problem of how cells underwent differentiation, with most workers concentrating on explanations in terms of changes in enzyme and gene regulation. Paul Nurse When I read Thirteen Days I was moved by it. It was just a great time for the world, in terms of looking back in history and seeing how we got ourselves into trouble and how we got ourselves out of trouble. Kevin Costner But that we didn't have the level of experience in terms of working in the industry so you weren't sure and you needed to see it and this is an industry that the more you work the better you get and that the more opportunities you have the better you get. Nia Long Maybe our telling of the story wasn't as clear as it should have been, but I don't think that's true. In terms of understanding the story, it comes across. Joel Coen You grow up a lot in terms of your understanding of the industry and how to deal with the corporate things. Dougray Scott And occasionally some of the nations that will be partners in this would probably not be, in terms of passing a pure human rights check, have everything going for them that you would like to have. Hugh Shelton The worth of a civilization or a culture is not valued in the terms of its material wealth or military power, but by the quality and achievements of its representative individuals - its philosophers, its poets and its artists. Herbert Read The money is better in films and television. But in terms of acting, theatre is more rewarding. Christopher Eccleston So I look at a lot of stuff now that I did and some of it looks tame to me, but my interest in terms of what I want to say with it is a little different. Bill Sienkiewicz The tragedy of September 11th was so sudden, so enormous, and so horrendous, both in terms of lives lost and global consequences, that this country and the world went into immediate and prolonged shock. Allen Klein I can think of films that I'm producing right now that are extremely hard-hitting, graphic films, that nobody necessarily wants to see, graphic in terms of violence, of adult content and racial and historical subject matter. Aaron Eckhart It seems to me that good novels celebrate the mystery in ordinary life, and summing it all up in psychological terms strips the mystery away. Anne Tyler |
