I ended up in college by accident. Everything in my life, I ended up in by accident. I was down south in this high school doing whatever. It could just not contain me. I quit school and took off and traveled around. Nobody knew where I was I just couldn't handle it anymore. It was a big scandal, I was gone. I left.

Beth Henley The South resented giving the Afro-American his freedom, the ballot box and the Civil Rights Law. Ida B. Wells We thus see that the Greeks of the early ages knew little of any real people except those to the east and south of their own country, or near the coast of the Mediterranean. Thomas Bulfinch In the South or in the mine country, wherever you point the camera there is a picture. Ben Shahn The choice is not normally between the north and south. It might be between Britain and Europe. John Prescott In those days, man, in the '50s, black people in the South... We didn't recognize contracts that much. And we didn't recognize marriages that much, either. Ike Turner Tens of thousands of South Florida jobs are dependent on the trade and commerce that our ports provide, and we have to make sure that we spend our security dollars wisely. Kendrick Meek I didn't really escape that gravity until I moved 300 miles south to go to college at 18, where authorship no longer seemed something liable to induce vengeful punishment. David Knopfler Using the power you derive from the discovery of the truth about racism in South Africa, you will help us to remake our part of the world into a corner of the globe on which all - of which all of humanity can be proud. Oliver Tambo But then again in the East Coast, I think, Tupac, inspired everybody on the East Coast, everybody down south, everybody in the West Coast you know what sayin'. Bubba Sparxxx We have supported state terrorism against the Palestinians and black South Africans, and now we are indignant because the stuff we have done overseas is now brought right back to our own front yards. America's chickens are coming home to roost. Jeremiah Wright I really wanted to be born a woman. It all started there. A South American woman. And I'm upset that I was born a white Jewish male.
