There are three rape scenes that I've had to act in, and none of them have gotten to film. I don't think it's something that should be promoted in any way.

Joan Severance There were movies that always made me want to be a director. You see brilliant scenes and the way the emotions were handled. I thought, I'd really like to do that. Bruce Beresford There were scenes that just for length purposes, and knowing that the attention span of kids is not great, don't make it much longer than about 90 minutes. John Badham There were so many great music and political scenes going on in the late '60s in Cambridge. The ratio of guys to girls at Harvard was four to one, so all of those things were playing in my mind. Bonnie Raitt There's a lot of research behind the scenes that you don't get to see, but I have an instinct that my dad nurtured from when I was born. I was very lucky then. Steve Irwin These scenes deal with what happened before Hannibal Lecter was captured for the first time. Dino De Laurentiis They all went down in droves because just scenes of palm trees and beaches can get pretty boring. James MacArthur They didn't have the money to keep Christopher Lee long enough to play his scenes with me. Herbert Lom This is the point being missed by readers who lament Liquor's lack of hot sex scenes, probably because they aren't old enough to understand that a passionate relationship could be about anything other than sex. Poppy Z. Brite This is the way I look at sex scenes: I have basically been doing them for a living for years. Trying to seduce an audience is the basis of rock 'n roll, and if I may say so, I'm pretty good at it. Jon Bon Jovi This was basically the first time I got to act in action scenes, with things blowing up all around me. It sounds corny, but I think every actor would like to - at least once in his or her career - play the person who saves the entire world. Lukas Haas Throughout my career, when I was finished with the drawing for one film I would go up to the story department and help develop sequences. Sometimes these were for scenes that I would animate later on. Marc Davis To make it more familiar to me, I ended up treating my swordplay scenes like choreography. So it was, 'One and two and three and four and five, and turn and step and down and up and lunge.' Catherine Zeta-Jones TV is so different from the movies. It takes a lot of stamina because you work such long hours. It is really challenging. You are learning the next day's lines while you are shooting today's scenes. I found courage I never realised I had. I hope to do more. Sharon Stone Unless the story line carries the scenes, the scenes don't really mean anything. George Cukor War scenes are less difficult than love scenes. Jean-Jacques Annaud Watching the completed version of The Two Towers for example, I was very conscious of scenes - sometimes whole sequences - that I had seen being filmed or edited but which hadn't made it into the final cut. Brian Sibley Watching the scenes out of New Orleans, if you turn down the sound it could be the Sudan or any Third World country. But it's not. it's the United States of America. Al Roker We all write, but the script is a blueprint. We can lose whole scenes when we're shooting. Shawn Wayans We began to do little things, have little scenes where we just talked about things that had nothing to do with the plot. In fact, in the beginning, they didn't want us to do that. But as time went on, you see that in so many shows. I think we were the first to do that. Don Knotts |
