I can recognize the calls of practically every bird in North America. There are some in Africa I don't know, though.

Roger Tory Peterson I can tell you that the Canadian intelligence and law enforcement agencies have been providing outstanding co-operation with our intelligence and law enforcement agencies as we work together to track down terrorists here in North America and put them out of commission. Paul Cellucci I could have ended the war in a month. I could have made North Vietnam look like a mud puddle. Barry Goldwater I discovered that the people of the North are different and there's no way you can make a person from the North similar to a Southerner. They're two different worlds. Esa-Pekka Salonen I don't do impersonations. I can do a wounded elephant! I can do a really good cow! And because of the amount of time I spent in North Yorkshire, I do a variety of sheep. All of which I will be happy to roll out for you! Patrick Stewart I don't feel ashamed of my wife's political background, and I don't think she should either. I feel that the people who administered the North of Ireland for the last 20 years should be ashamed. There you are. Stephen Rea I don't think the current regime of South Korea will deal actively with the issue of North Korean defectors. Kim Y. Sam I feel very sorry for the one or two North Korean defectors who were caught by Chinese police while entering South Korean or foreign embassies in Beijing, but their arrest drew the whole attention of the world. Kim Y. Sam I felt uneasy, but sometimes, like I said before, I believed in Col. North and there was a very solid and very valid reason that he must have been doing this. Fawn Hall I found that part of it towards San Salvador extending from north to south five leagues, and the other side which we coasted along, ran from east to west more than ten leagues. Christopher Columbus I grew up in a small farming town called Concord, outside Charlotte in North Carolina. Skeet Ulrich I had a hard time convincing students that they were going to North Africa to understand the North Africans, not to understand themselves. Clifford Geertz I had no concerns - I had no reason to have concerns based on what was available to me about North's contacts with the private sector people, but I didn't think a CIA person should do it. Robert M. Gates I had some friends here from North Carolina who'd never seen a homer, so I gave them a couple. Catfish Hunter I have heard something said about allegiance to the South. I know no South, no North, no East, no West, to which I owe any allegiance. Henry Clay I have taken part in ceremonies with North American and Mexican shamans, as well as Brazilian ceremonies. Stanislav Grof I hereby accuse the North American empire of being the biggest menace to our planet. Hugo Chavez I live in Hamburg; that's in the north. And I live on the outskirts of town. It looks like countryside. Cornelia Funke I make appearance at local park and recreation agencies when the program starts, when they have the qualifying meets at the local levels. Then I try to go to the regional competitions, and of course I'm there in Hershey, Pa., in August for the North American final. Rafer Johnson I still like being in North of England and I keep a place there. But there are a lot of things about the Continent that are to be preferred. The social institutions work better, women have a better position in society and the food is another thing. Andrew Eldritch |
