I'm a vegetarian - I think there's a strong possibility, had I not become a vegetarian, I would not be working now. I became a vegetarian about 25 years ago, and I did it out of concern for animals. But I immediately began having more energy and feeling better.

Bob Barker Falling in love and having a relationship are two different things. Keanu Reeves After having dispatched a meal, I went ashore, and found no habitation save a single house, and that without an occupant; we had no doubt that the people had fled in terror at our approach, as the house was completely furnished. Christopher Columbus I'm not into that Keith Richard trip of having all those guitars in different tunings. I never liked the Rolling Stones much anyway. Ritchie Blackmore Most successful men have not achieved their distinction by having some new talent or opportunity that was at hand. Bruce Barton As far as I'm concerned, the entire reason for becoming a writer is not having to get up in the morning. Neil Gaiman I have had the unfortunate experience of having someone write an unauthorised biography of me. Half of it is lies and the other half is badly written. My feeling is that if I'm going to write my life story, I ought to have my life first. Dawn French Reverse every natural instinct and do the opposite of what you are inclined to do, and you will probably come very close to having a perfect golf swing. Ben Hogan I'd like to see one person - just one - who would own up to having been a coward. Edith Piaf I'm always amazed when young women who are having babies want their husbands to watch the babies come out. I would never allow anything like that. Jeanne Moreau Success is having to worry about every damn thing in the world, except money. Johnny Cash Habit is necessary; it is the habit of having habits, of turning a trail into a rut, that must be incessantly fought against if one is to remain alive. Edith Wharton I want to promote poetry to the point where you got all the baldhead kids running around doing poetry, getting the music out of the way and having only words, the spoken word, and then see what happens. Russell Simmons I have certain moral parameters that I do not cross in writing; I don't write about adultery or kids having premarital sex. Nicholas Sparks One of the things about acting is it allows you to live other people's lives without having to pay the price. Robert De Niro I like to be able to come and go as I please, and I don't really like having my face and name plastered around. I think it's a bit weird to have your name plastered on every page in a magazine, where in each case you're using a different piece of equipment. Geddy Lee But between sets I'd sneak over to the black places to hear blues musicians. It got to the point where I was making my living at white clubs and having my fun at the other places. Stevie Ray Vaughan If you've experienced having control, you don't want to be moved to a subordinate position, if you have your druthers. Julius Erving Prejudice is a great time saver. You can form opinions without having to get the facts. E. B. White I've had some painful experiences in my life, but I feel like I'm trivializing them by using them for a scene in a movie. I don't want to do that. It just makes me feel kind of dirty for having done that. Christian Bale |
