In that I found being able to talk to my family about my feelings, praying for strength and realizing that our lives have a deep purpose and the journey of our lives is to find out what that is and express it, was the only way I could have gotten through it.

Marlo Thomas In fact, I would defend to the death their right to express a different point of view. Martin McGuinness It pulled me like a magnet, jazz did, because it was a way that I could express myself. Herbie Hancock I play with language a great deal in my poems, and I enjoy that. I try to condense language, that is, I try to express complicated but I hope real emotions as simply as possible. But that doesn't mean the poems are simple, just that they are as truthful as I can make them. Anne Stevenson Everybody's entitled to think whatever they want and to express that, but my personal day-to-day experience does not come into contact with any of those people. Amy Grant The best thing is being able to perform in front of people and to express my feelings, whatever they may be at the time. Just to be able to make the world a happier place to be. Tanya Tucker There was probably something as a child I wanted to express, something unsaid that I needed to share. Juliette Binoche I still take photographs for my own use, personal studies. I do not feel that I can fully express my views through the medium and this is why I have moved towards painting. John Dyer No, I think that a person writes a poem because they have an inner urge of something that they want to express, and I think it's that inner urge that you want to express when you write a piece of music. Leo Ornstein I consider myself an artist. God granted me some gifts so that I could express myself artistically. Don Johnson Most women don't play like guys do: they don't wrestle, fight, get into brawls. They don't know how to express themselves in a physical, active way. Victoria Pratt I support any procedure that allows photographers to express themselves, whether that involves color, black and white, platinum, palladium and digital technology. John Sexton I think people are sexy when they have a sense of humor, when they are smart, when they have some sense of style, when they are kind, when they express their own opinions, when they are creative, when they have character. Suzanne Vega Do not suppress it - that would hurt you inside. Do not express it - this would not only hurt you inside, it would cause ripples in your surroundings. What you do is transform it. Peace Pilgrim It's almost better most times to not talk in a scene. I think you can actually express a lot more without words. Neve Campbell Who knows who will be on board? A couple of spies, for sure. At least one grand duke; a few beautiful woman, no doubt very rich and very troubled. Anything can happen and usually does on the Orient Express. Morley Safer I have a lot of variety within me, and the dream role, I think, is actually a compilation of parts that express different aspects of my persona and personal interests. Ashley Judd My host at Richmond, yesterday morning, could not sufficiently express his surprise that I intended to venture to walk as far as Oxford, and still farther. He however was so kind as to send his son, a clever little boy, to show me the road leading to Windsor. Karl Philipp Moritz Many attempts have been made by writers on art and poetry to define beauty in the abstract, to express it in the most general terms, to find some universal formula for it. Walter Pater These happy endings all express the weak and sly promise that the world is not rotten and out of joint but meaningful and ultimately in excellent condition. Douglas Sirk |
