My dad served in the Air Force as ground crew for several years, and doesn't really talk about it. I know that it's there. I think my main thing about direct or indirect experiences as near to home as it were is the idea of self-sacrifice really.

Jeremy Northam The reports of the eclipse parties not only described the scientific observations in great detail, but also the travels and experiences, and were sometimes marked by a piquancy not common in official documents. Simon Newcomb A declining institution often experiences survival of the unfittest. John McCarthy As we abide in sleep, intuitively resonating with the sum of all our experiences - this life and beyond - we gain refreshing perspective on our efforts and have an opportunity to remember what we know. Henry Reed Barbara did the selecting and that's probably the most brilliant thing was she put together a group of women, different backgrounds, different experiences. Star Jones I look back into past history, the stored experiences or products of the imagination. I look no further forward than the evening. Jerzy Kosinski I think you grow through your experiences; you get better as you grow and I'm not nearly where I think I'm going to be eventually where I inspire to be and hopefully the opportunities will continue to come. Nia Long I don't know how many times I can sit there and talk about my character or my life. It's interesting to talk about experiences in the context of something you're doing for somebody else, and particularly if you can persuade others to join you in your support. Wendie Malick I had to skydive for the movie and I was terrified. Like everybody, I thought it was going to be one of those experiences that changes your life. It didn't. Yancy Butler You may be pulling from different influences because of different things that are going on in your life, different people that are around you and more experiences to pull from. Zac Hanson Rather, for all objects and experiences, there is a quantity that has optimum value. Above that quantity, the variable becomes toxic. To fall below that value is to be deprived. Gregory Bateson Evil is the shadow of angel. Just as there are angels of light, support, guidance, healing and defense, so we have experiences of shadow angels. And we have names for them: racism, sexism, homophobia are all demons - but they're not out there. Matthew Fox There is no other who experiences your thoughts or your feelings. John Buchanan Robinson Narcissism and the Confederate dead cannot be connected logically, or even historically; even were the connection an historical fact, they would not stand connected as art, for no one experiences raw history. Allen Tate When we awaken, we cannot account for the time spent. We simply don't remember. About the only evidence we have of experiences while we were asleep is when we happen to remember a dream. Henry Reed It's taken me longer still to realize what a short span there is between those life experiences and the rest of your life. That's a job for the people who lived through it. Jeremy Northam I prefer Princess. I would love to be known as a diva later on in life when I've had far more experiences. Deborah Cox I've had a lot of highs in my life and a lot of lows, some pivotal experiences, and in ways I feel like I've already lived a couple of lives. Jim Coleman But what does interest me is the notion that if you do a lot of work it means there's a potential for other people to understand that a lot of things are possible with a sustained effort and that the broadening of experiences is possible and I think that's all art can be. Richard Serra People want to hear about the extremes of human nature. They want things that are larger than their own lives, and more romantic, and not necessarily of their own experiences.
