Well Washington DC what are you going to do. They think the capitol steps are the state of the art in comedy. You try to drag them into the 20th century let alone the 21st and they refuse to come with you.

Harry Shearer Well my biggest dream is to be in a romantic comedy. Izabella Scorupco Strangely, Dante's Divine Comedy did not produce a prose of that creative height or it did so after centuries. Eugenio Montale Comedy, we may say, is society protecting itself - with a smile. J. B. Priestley I think we're the only jokeless show on television. I mean really, we have no setups and no punch lines. It's not a joke show. There are funny lines and funny moments but again the comedy is born of the human experience and awkward pauses are a great part of what it is to be human. Rainn Wilson We are in desperate need of a well-done romantic lesbian comedy. Jill Bennett It's a comedy thriller, brilliantly written and it's full of twists and turns at every page. When I was reading it I was desperate to get to the end to find out what happens, it really hooks you. Louise Jameson Comedy, at least the way I write comedy, is just drama with jokes. Rob Walton I like to see love stories: romantic comedy or romantic drama. Pia Zadora Jerry Bruckheimer creates comedy, he just doesn't realize because he's a turd. Trey Parker But I find with Francis Bacon, some of the things were in the place, and someone who was connected with these schools of thought, and someone who had a motivation that equals the scope of the comedy and the tragedy in the plays. Mark Rylance There is no essential difference between the material of comedy and tragedy. All depends on the point of view of the dramatist, which, by clever emphasis, he tries to make the point of view of his audience. George P. Baker I never like to do parodies. I never do. It's just not my style of comedy. Ivan Reitman As you know it is a comedy so everything is a little bit pushed. That's what's funny about this kind of movie is you can laugh about the absurdity, and the bad side of life. Sophie Marceau I just thought it could make a really cool movie. It's not that it's just a buddy comedy but it's all about two guys hating each other and towards the end they're good friends. I liked that these two guys were best friends from the very beginning, and they're crazy. Sean William Scott I think that comedy really tells you how it is. The other thing about comedy is that - you don't even know if you're failing in drama, but you do know when you're failing in comedy. When you go to a comedy and you don't hear anybody laughing, you know that you've failed. Carl Reiner I certainly love doing comedy and feel most comfortable near it. Candice Bergen In comedy, something may be more absurd, but you have to believe just as much as you do when you're doing drama. Jenna Elfman I am a big fan of the TV series Taxi which combined comedy and pathos better than any other show I've seen. Douglas Wood Is it spoken word? Kinda, but that's a weird area. Is it comedy? Well, it's funny but no, it's not comedy. Bruce McCulloch |
