I have no problem paying my dues and I have no problem going out and working the club circuit.

Leif Garrett I have quite a lot of fans in Holland because that is where my mother is from, in fact I have a fan club there, and the fans don't always get the chance to see us drive the cars because getting to races across Europe isn't always possible for them. Nelson Piquet I have similar feelings, actually. The intimacy of a club: you can see the people, you can almost feel them; you can't beat that. People will say things, and shout out, it's almost like they're up on the bandstand with you. Benny Green I like dropping into a small club and playing with some people, trying to help them get a start. John Lee Hooker I like the bad-boy types. Generally the guy I'm attracted to is the guy in the club with all the tattoos and nail polish. He's usually the lead singer in a punk band and plays guitar. But my serious boyfriends are relatively clean-cut, nice guys. So it's strange. Megan Fox I like the club. It looks nice with all the tables out. They were freaking out, the Gilly's people. Kim Deal I like the dueling club scene, where Daniel and I fight with our wands. I thought it was a brilliant scene to shoot. I think the end product looked really good. Tom Felton I may see somebody in a club one night and go, Wow, she's the most attractive girl I've seen in a long time. Then I'll see her the next night and be like, Oh no, I don't think so. Brian Austin Green I must have made a good impression because a club official to us into his office and asked me if I would sign on for a year with a view to becoming a professional. Harold Larwood I never thought of myself as being a good songwriter. There are a ton of other people that are good songwriters, but I don't think I'm in the club. What I do well is perform, sometimes sing pretty good, and accompany myself well and arrange fairly well. Alex Chilton I really like to communicate to my fans. I have a fan club president who I've had for over 15 years. Hunter Tylo I refuse to join any club that would have me as a member. Groucho Marx I sat in at every club in New York City, jamming with musicians, because it felt right - and because it felt right and we were having fun - the people dancing and sipping their drinks in the clubs felt it too and it made them smile. Ray Conniff I sort of kept my hand in writing and went to work for the Sierra Club in '52, walked the plank there in '69, founded Friends of the Earth and the League of Conservation Voters after that. David R. Brower I started caddying when I was nine years old at a very exclusive country club in Dayton, Ohio. And I saw how the other half lived, if you will. Martin Sheen I started going to Madame Louise's, the lesbian club where all the punk bands used to go - the Sex Pistols, the Clash. I remember seeing Billy Idol walk in there; he was gorgeous. Boy George I stayed with them for about a year up there and, at night, worked over in Long Island at a club called The High Hat Club which was like a pseudo jazz / blues place. William Bell I still don't know precisely why The Mickey Mouse Club ended when it did. Annette Funicello I think anyone would want to see their favorite band in a small club over a large stadium. Bill Wyman I think if Tottenham are going to be top four side, the fans and the club will need to get away from the philosophy of 'pretty football', that's got to go. Alan Hansen |
