I have this theory that people in Hollywood don't read. They read 'Vanity Fair' and then consider themselves terribly well read. I think I can basically write about anybody without getting caught.

Jackie Collins I left the room with silent dignity, but caught my foot in the mat. George Grossmith I look for something that is highly unusual, involving ordinary people caught in extraordinary situations. Walter Lord I once heard two ladies going on and on about the pains of childbirth and how men don't seem to know what real pain is. I asked if either of them ever got themselves caught in a zipper. Emo Philips I once told Nixon that the Presidency is like being a jackass caught in a hail storm. You've got to just stand there and take it. Lyndon B. Johnson I propose a Constitutional Amendment providing that, if any public official, elected or appointed, at any level of government, is caught lying to any member of the public for any reason, the punishment shall be death by public hanging. L. Neil Smith I really can't blame anyone but myself, because I didn't have to deliver the album. But when you get caught up in the gas, and you're young, and there's so much helium going on around you, you can't decipher the real end. Pras Michel I recently did the David Letterman Show about my book. He was very serious and made no jokes and it caught me off guard a little bit. He was much more serious than some of the joke shows that journalists get on. Bob Woodward I see it all the time in politics. If a candidate gets caught in a lie, he quickly tries to change the subject by throwing more mud at his opponent. The mud keeps flying until some of the slanderous material sticks. Joe Scarborough I started in for the ball but I just couldn't get it. I should have caught it because I was used to catching everything on the sandlots. But they hit the ball a lot harder in the major leagues and I just couldn't reach the ball this time. Al Kaline I then realized my appearance was a bit odd. My right leg was no longer with me. It had caught somewhere in the top of the cockpit as I tried to leave my Spitfire. Douglas Bader I think they got caught up in how much money they could get from each of the city governments as far as tax rebates. But that stuff works when you make money. It's a little bit phantom money. David Neeleman I was caught up in the hysteria during the Vietnam era, which was brought about through Marxist propaganda underlying the so-called peace movement. Jon Voight I was going to go make a film in Greece. if they caught you with this much marijuana, they threw you in jail, no questions asked, and I was trying to stuff it in my deodorant bottles. I thought, what I am doing? Dyan Cannon I was so worried about winning, it was as if I was caught up in my own web. Michelle Kwan I would be going until I went over the bounds of reality and was then caught up in a profound wish to be dead without having to go through the shaming defeat of suicide. Joshua Logan I would rather lose a good earring than be caught without make-up. Lana Turner I wouldn't be caught dead marrying a woman old enough to be my wife. Tony Curtis I'd always have grease in at least two places, in case the umpires would ask me to wipe one off. I never wanted to be caught out there with anything though, it wouldn't be professional. Gaylord Perry I'm a real common sense guy who caught a lot of good breaks and who has been very, very fortunate. Vince McMahon |
